Nach und nach übernahm United Fruit fast alle Bahnstrecken in Guatemala vom Atlantik zum Pazifik und an die mexikanische Grenze und formte 1912 nach Übernahme der Central RR, der Occidental RR und der Ocos RR die International Railway of Central America. 1928 wurde die Erweiterung des inzwischen gut 750 km langen Netzes mit Eröffnung der Strecke von Zacapa in Guatemala nach Santa Ana in El Salvador abgeschlossen. 1959-64 setzten der Bau neuer Autostraßen und Häfen sowie die Aufgabe der United-Fruit-Plantagen im Raum Tiquisate der IRCA übel zu, bis schließlich 1968 der Staat Guatemala die Verwaltung übernahm und die Bahnen als FEGUA (Ferrocarriles de Guatemala) weiterführte. | | Specials: | Blaubrau/schwarzer HBNC-Stahlstich, große Hauptvignette mit Güterzug im Hafen, flankiert von Einheimischen beim Wasserschöpfen und Personenzug. | | Availability: | Unentwertet, mit Restkupons.
