Die Ges. verstrickte sich in zahllose Prozesse mit Konkurrenten und Landeientümern und ging 1873 bankrott. 1880 unter gleichem Namen als „Railway“ reorganisiert, 1888 von der Central Ry. of Georgia übernommen worden (die später im Seaboard Air Line System aufging). Specials: Dunkelbraun/schwarzer Stahlstich der wenig bekannten Manhattan Engraving Co., schöne allegorische Vignette, im Hintergrund Streckenkreuzung mit Brücke über Fluß und Personenzüge in einer langgezogenen Kurve.
