Nicht nur der Bundesstaat, sondern auch die Stadt New Orleans gab für den Bahnbau unglaubliche 2 Mio. $ Zuschüsse. Wohl nicht zu Unrecht wurde später spekuliert, daß da wohl die Ku-Klux-Clan-Verbindungen des Managements eine Rolle gespielt hatten. 1874 von der Illinois Central RR übernommen. | | Specials: | Dekorative Kupferstich-Vignette mit Personenzug. | | Availability: | Unentwertet.
