Auf der 1863 fertiggestellten 23 Meilen langen Bahn von Tyrone nach Philipsburg in Zentral-Pennsylvania wurde überwiegend Kohle (vor allem aus der Snowshoe Mine) transportiert. Gleich nach ihrer Fertigstellung pachtete die Pennsylvania RR die T.&C.RR.
