place: | Berlin / Hamburg | | Picture: |  | | Info: | Die Bank ist aus der 1886 von der "Deutsche Bank Berlin" als Spezialinstitut gegründeten Deutschen Überseebank hervorgegangen, die 1893 formell in Liquidation trat und die Geschäfte auf das Nachfolgeinstitut übertrug. Unter der Bezeichnung “Banco Aleman Transatlántico” wurden in Argentinien (7), Bolivien (2), Brasilien (6), Chile (9), Peru (4), Uruguay (1) sowie in Spanien (3) Filialen unterhalten, außerdem beim Banco Mexicano de Comercio é Industrial beteiligt. 1930 Übernahme des Banco Brasileiro Allemao (gegr. 1924 als Nachfolger der seit 1887 bestehenden Brasilianischen Bank für Deutschland, Hamburg). Wenig später übernahm Hermann J. Abs als Vertreter der Deutschen Bank den Aufsichtsratsvorsitz. Im II. Weltkrieg wurden alle ausländischen Filialen geschlossen. 1952 Sitzverlegung nach Hamburg (Ballindamm 7) und Neueröffnung von Niederlassungen in Köln (1958), Buenos Aires und Düsseldorf (1960), Stuttgart (1965), Rosario (1968), Sao Paulo (1969), Asuncion und Tokio (1971) sowie Luxemburg (1974). 1976 in die Deutsche Bank eingegliedert. | | Availability: | Belegstück der Frankfurter Börse handschriftlich numeriert (#252a).
