Marie, Mich. über Minneapolis, Minn. nach Portal, N.D. (dort Anschluß an die Canadian Pacific). 1909 Übernahme von 51 % der Wisconsin Central Ry., deren 1.126 Meilen lange Strecken anschließend gepachtet wurden. 1912 Gründung der Central Terminal Railway als 100 %ige Tochter für den Bau eines völlig neuen Bahnhofs in Chicago.
