Die Bahn erreichte Madisonville, Ky. am 20. Mai 1869. Die Linie war fertiggestellt 1871. Sie führte vom Ohio River von Henderson nach Guthrie, Ky., wo sie auf die Edgefield, Henderson and Nashville RR traf. Der erste Zug zwischen Henderson und Nashville fuhr am 21. Febr. 1871. Passagiere und Fracht gelangten über den Ohio per Fähre. Am 1. Okt. 1872 wurde die Bahn von der St. Louis and Southwestern Ry. übernommen. 1879 von der Louisville & Nashville RR gekauft.
