Bereits 1860 wurde eine Maschine entwickelt, die später 8 Mio. Ziegelsteine in 11 Monaten presste. Die Gesellschaft wurde 1872 als AG eingetragen. In Chicago gibt es heute das New Gregg House Museum, das die Geschichte von Gregg und der Excelsior Press Brick Manufacturing Co. erzählt. | | Specials: | Sehr dekorative Darstellung einer Maschine zur Herstellung von Ziegeln. Original signiert von William L. Gregg als Präsident. Er war auch der Erfinder der patentierten Ziegelmaschine. Ebenfalls Originalunterschrift von Geo. Dike Blair. Er besuchte die Universität in Heidelberg, Deutschland für 3 Jahre. 1872 kam er nach Chicago als Secretary und Treasurer der Excelsior Press Brick Manufacturing, ging dann 1874 zurück nach Pittsburg als Manager der Glenwoodwerke der Blair Iron & Steel Company. | | Availability: | Extrem selten, Einzelstück beim Einlieferer.
