Der berühmte “Erschliesser des Westens”, war maßgeblich an über 20 wichtigen Eisenbahnen beteiligt, u.a. als einer der Hauptpromotoren an der Central Pacific. Huntington rühmte sich, er könne mit seiner eigenen Eisenbahn von San Francisco bis New York fahren, dort eines seiner eigenen Schiffe besteigen und via Panama auf ebenfalls eigenen Schiffen nach China und dann zurück reisen. | | Condition: | Unentwertet.
