SIMCA wurde so stark, dass 1954 die Konkurrenten Unic, Ford France, Saurer und Talbot übernommen werden konnten. 1958 übernahm Chrysler die Aktienmehrheit, ab 1970 trat SIMCA als Chrysler France auf.
