Bedeutendes Bauunternehmen mit zunächst auch sehr starker Position in Russland sowie Niederlassungen u.a. in Berlin, Halle, Hannover, Stettin und Nürnberg. 1917 Umfirmierung in HUTA Hoch- und Tiefbau AG. 1946 Sitzverlegung nach Hannover. 1962 Erwerb der Willy Christiansen KG in Schleswig und der E. Hegerfeld Industriebau KG in Essen, mit denen 1967 zur HUTA-HEGERFELD AG fusioniert wird, gleichzeitig Sitzverlegung nach Essen. Großaktionäre waren zu der Zeit das Bankhaus Bass & Herz, Frankfurt/M. und das Bankhaus I. D. Herstatt KGaA, Köln.
