Eine Besonderheit war, dass kein Deckungsstockregister, wie sonst bei Realkreditinstituten üblich, zwischen Pfandbriefgläubiger und Hypothekennehmer geschaltet war. Vielmehr hafteten die zum Kreditverein verbundenen Gutsbesitzer mit ihrem Grundbesitz dem Pfandbriefinhaber als direkt Gesamtschuldner.
