Bis 1900 wurden eine große Zahl Kohlenbergwerke erworben, außerdem ein Kalkwerk und eine Glasfabrik. An Eisenbahnen besaß die Gesellschaft die Strecken Graz-Köflach (40 km), Lieboch-Wies (51 km) sowie 23 kleine Industriebahnen. Die Betriebsführung auf den Hauptstrecken hatte die Südbahn. Später von der ÖBB übernommen.
