Die US-Bundesstaaten waren an der Bahn von Mobile, Ala. nach Houston, Tx. so interessiert, dass sie sie mit umfangreichen Subventionen, Landschenkungen und Steuerbefreiung unterstützten. Die N.O.M.&C.RR. entstand dann 1909 durch Fusion der Gulf & Chicago mit der Mobile, Jackson & Kansas City Ry. Strecke Mobile, Ala. über New Orleans, La. und Sabine River nach Houston, Tx. (475 Meilen). Bereits 1917 wieder reorganisiert als Gulf, Mobile & Northern RR. Diese wurde 1940 mit der Mobile & Ohio RR fusioniert zur Gulf, Mobile & Ohio RR, diese 1972 verschmolzen mit der Illinois Central und dann 1998 von der Canadian National Ry. gekauft worden. | | Specials: | Großes Querformat mit zwei Vignetten: oben Adler, unten dampfende Lokomotive.
