Für den Bedarf des nahen Ruhrgebiets typischer Maschinenbauer: Herstellung von Großdampfkesselanlagen, Spezialkesseln, Überhitzern, Kohlentransportanlagen. Eine Zeit lang auch stark in der Produktion von Schiffskesseln. Ab 1961 auch Fertigung von Müllverbrennungsanlagen. Die Firma setzte stets neue Maßstäbe im Kesselbau und lieferte 1965 den bis dahin größten Dampfkessel in Deutschland ab. 1972 auf Betreiben des gemeinsamen Mehrheitsaktionärs (Deutsche Babcock & Wilcox AG) Fusion mit der Balcke & Co. zur Balcke-Dürr AG, Oberhausen. Produziert wurden zuletzt Windkraftanlagen, Gasturbinenanlagen, Industriekessel, Gebäudeausrüstungen aller Art, Rohrleistungssysteme sowie Anlagen für die Oberflächentechnik. 2001 noch mit der Muttergesellschaft zur Babcock Borsig AG (neu) fusioniert. 2002 war das dann eine der spektakulärsten Pleiten des Jahrzehnts. | | Availability: | Mit Kuponbogen.
