Mit zuletzt rd. 300 Mitarbeitern stand die Brauerei Bodenstein (Sieverstorstr. 10) dem Lokalrivalen, der Actien-Brauerei Neustadt-Magdeburg, an Größe nicht viel nach. 1946 enteignet, ab 1952 VEB Börde Brauerei. 1950 beschloß eine Hauptversammlung zwecks Liquidation der AG die Sitzverlegung ein kleines Stück Richtung Westen, nach Schöningen (1953 ist die AG dann erloschen). Die Brauerei selbst wurde nach der Wende 1990 als “Börde Brauerei” reprivatisiert, wenige Jahre später dann stillgelegt. Die Gebäude der ältesten Magdeburger Brauerei wurden, obwohl unter Denkmalschutz stehend, 2005/06 weitgehend abgerissen, was anschließend zu einem heftigen politischen Schlagabtausch führte. | | Specials: | Besonders hübsche Ornament-Umrahmung.
