Starting price: 180,00 EUR Issuing- date: 01.10.1872 Issuing- place: Weston, Mo. Picture: Number: 2151 Info: Gegründet 1869, Hauptstrecke von Washington, Ia. nach Leavenworth, Ks. (271 Meilen). Die 1871 fertiggestellte Bahn (“shortest Line to Liverpool and San Francisco”) schloss direkt an die Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific RR an und war an sie auf alle Zeit verpachtet (dafür garantierte die C.,R.I.&P. für Anleihen bis zur Höhe von 5 Mio. $). 1876, als kein Geld zur Zahlung der Anleihezinsen mehr vorhanden war, als Iowa Southern & Missouri Northern Ry. reorganisiert, 1880 dann mit der C.,R.I.&P. verschmolzen. Specials: Schöner grün/beiger Druck mit detailreicher großer (16 cm breiter!) Vignette mit zwei sich begegnenden Personenzügen in weiter Flusslandschaft. Availability: Unentwertet. Äußerst selten.
