place: | Braunschweig | | Picture: |  | | Number: | B 32378 | | Info: | Der junge Ingenieur Kurt Passow arbeitete 1922/23 für die “Vis Gesellschaft für Kleinfahrzeuge GmbH” in Berlin, die Motorräder der Marke “Wegro” produzierte. Das von Kurt Passow entworfene Sesselmotorrad “PAWA” kam 1922 auf den Markt. Das eigenwillige Fahrzeug mit blechverkleidetem Zweitakt-Motor und Seitenverkleidungen - Vorläufer der späteren Motorroller - war aber kein Erfolg. Nur Kurt Passow will das nicht einsehen, geht 1923 nach Braunschweig und gründet erst die “PER” Konstruktions- und Handelsgesellschaft für Kraftfahrzeuge und Industriebedarf, dann im Sept. 1923 die Kurt Passow AG. In Klein-Stöckheim bei Braunschweig wird das PER-Motorrad dann in geringen Stückzahlen produziert. 1924 Verkauf der Patente und Fertigungseinrichtungen an den Grubenlampenhersteller Friemann & Wolf in Zwickau, wohin 1925 der AG-Sitz verlegt wird. In Fachkreisen wird der PER-Sesselroller in höchsten Tönen gelobt, ein wirtschaftlicher Erfolg wird er allerdings nicht: 1926 wird die Produktion eingestellt. | | Availability: | Mit kpl. Kuponbogen.
