place: | Berlin-Pankow | | Picture: |  | | Info: | Gründung 1905 zur Übernahme der 1895 gegründeten Ambroin-Werke GmbH in Pankow (Wollankstr. 32/33) und der Asbest- und Gummiwerke GmbH in Rathenow. 1907 wurden die beiden GmbH’s aufgelöst und die Betriebe von der AG direkt weitergeführt. 1917 Verkauf des Rathenower Fabrikgrundstücks. Hergestellt wurden elektrotechnische Gegenstände und Gegenstände aus Kunstmassen (Bakalit), letztere vor allem in der Telefonie eingesetzt. 1937 umfirmiert in Vereinigte Isolatorenwerke AG (VIACOWERKE). Großaktionär mit 51 % war über die Gesfürel die A.E.G. Die Elektrokeramische Fabrik wurde nach 1945 enteignet; in dem alten Industriekomplex entstehen seit 2012 Wohnungen im Rahmen eines Sanierungsplans für die Wollankstraße.
