In Quarzadern kommt das Gold dort als Folge lange zurückliegender vulkanischer Aktivität sowohl allein wie auch in Gemeinschaft mit Arsenopyrit vor. Die Gegend ist unter Geologen als “gold line” bekannt, in der sich die Goldvorkommen in einer Auffaltungszone aneinander reihen. Wirtschaftlich lohnender Bergbau über einen längeren Zeitraum findet hier allerdings nur in der Svartliden Goldmine statt. Die Aktivitäten der Fa.
