AG seit 1897 als “Faber & Schleicher Maschinenfabrik auf Actien”. Zunächst Bau von Steindruck-Schnellpressen, 1911 kommt die erste ROLAND-Offsetpresse auf den Markt. 1957 Umfirmierung wie oben. 1979 Vereinigung mit dem Druckmaschinenbereich der M.A.N. und Umfirmierung in "MAN Roland Druckmaschinen AG". Heute weltweit zweitgrößter Hersteller von Druckmaschinen und Weltmarktführer im Rollenoffset, beschäftigt werden 8.700 Mitarbeiter in den Werken Augsburg, Offenbach, Plauen und Mainhausen. 2005/06 squeeze-out der Kleinaktionäre der bis dahin börsennotierten AG, später verkauft MAN die Mehrheit an den Investor “Allianz Capital Partners GmbH”. | | Specials: | Mit großer Abb. des Roland.
