Die Textilfabrik wurde in Kratzau (heute Chrastava in Tschechien) im sogenannten Josephinental 1828 von Johann Liebieg gebaut. Sie bildete einen eigenen Stadtteil. Ab 1921 AG, es wurden mehrere sudetendeutsche Betriebe zusammengefasst, 1939 wurde die Satzung dem deutschen Aktiengesetz angepasst. Nach dem 2.
