Monongahela West Penn war das größte System in W.V. mit Straßenbahnen in Clarksburg und Fairmont, einer Hauptlinie, die die beiden Städte verband und Linien nach Mannington, Fairview, Bridgeport und Weston. Nicht nur Passagiere wurden befördert, auch die lokale Industrie wurde von 1914 bis 1938 mit versorgt. Das System begann als Fairmont & Clarksburg Traction im Jahr 1901. Nach Konkurs und Namenswechsel wurde die Gesellschaft 1934 die Monongahela West Penn Service Co. Parkersburg hatte eine 14 Meilen lange Strecke nach Marietta, Ohio, bekannt als Parkersburg & Marietta Interurban und wurde 1903 gebaut.Obwohl physisch separat vom Clarksburgsystem wurde es Teil der Monongahela West Penn Systems.
