Die Wentworth Boot and Shoe co. wurde 1883 in Berkeley von Ira Martin Wentworth errichtet, wurde 1885 nach Oakland am Fuß der 16th Street verlegt. Nur zwei Jahre später, 1887, wurden 600 Paar Boots und Schuhe täglich hergestellt. Außerdem gab es einen Verkaufsladen in der Washington Street und eine zusätzliche Fabrik in San Francisco. Specials: Wunderschöne Vignette mit Abb. der Fabrik in West Berkeley mit qualmendem Schornstein und vielen Passagieren, Reitern und Pferdekutschen. Unterschrieben von E. Savary und President S.H.
