Im gleichen Jahr wurde auch die 1,5 Meilen lange Abzweigung nach Marlborough fertig. 1866 ging die 14 Meilen lange Verlängerung Northborough-Berlin-Boylston-Lancaster-Clinton bis zur Pratt‘s Junc. bei Sterling in Betrieb, die die Bahn an die Fitchburg & Worchester RR anschloß (an die die Strecke auch verpachtet war). 1867 reorganisiert als Boston, Clinton & Fitchburg RR, 1869 mit der Fitchburg & Worcester RR fusioniert, nach zwei weiteren Fusionen ab 1876 die Boston, Clinton, Firchburg & New Bedford RR. 1879 für 999 Jahre an die Old Colony RR verpachtet, 1883 mit dieser fusioniert und damit zum System der New York Central gekommen. Nach der PennCentral und Conrail werden zumindest Teile der Strecke bis heute von CSX-Zügen befahren. | | Condition: | VF. | | Sold: | unsold |
