Das Vorhaben scheiterte und der berühmte Architekt Frank Matcham wurde beauftragt, das Gebäude umzubauen und zu einem Theater zu machen. 1910 wurde daraus das London Palladium, ein bekanntes Theater des Londoner West Ends.
