Die Bahn brachte die Kohle von den Pennsylvania Mines zur Salzindustrie nach Syracuse. Fusioniert mit der Syracuse and Southern RR 1856, 1857 dann nach Reorganisation wieder umbenannt in Syracuse, Binghamton and New York RR. Die Bahn stellt die Verbindung zur früheren Oswego and Syracuse RR her.
