Produziert wurden Rohpappe, Seiden- und Toilettenpapier. 1928 Aufnahme der Fabrikation von Balatum (als günstige Konkurrenz zum Linoleum ein preiswerter Fußbodenbelag, bestehend aus einer mit Ölfarbe bedruckten Wollfilzpappe). 1939 Ankauf der Tapetenfabrik Hösel, Bez. Düsseldorf (1964 wieder verkauft). 1942 umbenannt in Balatum AG. 1961/62 Bau einer Linoleumfabrik. 1965 erneut umfirmiert in Deutsche Balamundi AG. Börsennotiert im Freiverkehr Düsseldorf, Großaktionär war mit 90 % eine belgische Gruppe. Zuletzt rd. 600 Beschäftigte. 1977 Fusion mit der Balamo Deutschland GmbH (Neuss). Balatum wurde Anfang der 1970er Jahre durch die haltbareren und noch preiswerteren PVC-Beläge verdrängt, seither in Neuss dann Produktion von Teppichböden, Nadelfilzen und PVC-Belägen. | | Availability: | Mit Kupons No. 2, 4-10.
