Als Folge des verlorenen Sezessionskrieges hatte die Bank im April 1865 ihren Bankrott erklärt. Bereits im Juli 1865 gründete Reuben Ragland eine neue Bank, die First National Bank of Petersburg. | | Specials: | Zwei meisterhafte ABNC-Vignetten, oben weibliche Allegorie der Tugend, mit Schwert und Lanze bewaffnet, den Fuß auf der Brust der besiegten Tyrannei, ebenfalls als Frau dargestellt; unten kleine Eisenbahn-Abb.
