Sie wurde im Jahr 1880 durch R. Craggs & Co. in Middlesbrough gebaut. Ihre Abmessungen: Länge 189 Ft., Breite 25,5 Ft. und Tiefe13,9 Ft. 380 Registertonnen. Ausgestattet mit einer Maschine mit 75 Pferdestärken. Besitzer war Mr. Foxton Beaumont aus Boston. Registriert im Hafen von Lynn. Sie hatte drei kleine Boote an Bord, davon zwei Rettungsboote. Vom 19.-21. April 1898 fand vor einem Untersuchungsausschuss im Rathaus von London die offizielle Untersuchung zum Unglück der King's Lynn, etwa 35 Meilen östlich des Dudgeon Leuchtschiffs am 26.
