Im August 1917 erlebt der “grandiose Lichtspielpalast Orient Cinema am Bahnhofplatz” die Premiere des ersten Films der als Stummfilmschauspielerin berühmt gewordenen Julie Helene “Leny” Bider (Schwester des damals weltberühmten Piloten Oskar Bider, der als Flugpionier die Pyrenäen und die alpen überquerte und den ersten Direktflug Bern-Paris meisterte).
