Zuletzt besaß die Gesellschaft 5 Spinnereien mit etwa 160.000 Spinn- und Zwirnspindeln, 3 Wasserkraftturbinen und Dampfanlagen sowie eine Mehrheitsbeteiligung an der Baumwollweberei Mittweida. Im 2. Weltkrieg wurde die Hälfte des Werkes demontiert, auf der freigewordenen Fläche wurde eine Kriegsproduktion der Lorenzwerke AG Berlin (Funkgeräte) eingerichtet. In Leipzig börsennotiert. Nach 1945 als VEB Baumwollspinnerei weitergeführt, angegliedert wurden 1951 Weißthaler Spinnerei als Werk 2 und 1964 die Baumwollspinnerei Riesa als Werk 3.
