place: | Berlin | | Picture: |  | | Info: | Gründung 1872 als "Rheinisch-Westfälische Genossenschaftsbank" mit Sitz in Köln, 1889 Umfirmierung wie oben und Sitzverlegung nach Berlin. Die vorher vor allem im Gründungsgeschäft aktive Bank beschränkte sich ab 1878 auf normale Bank- und Kommissionsgeschäfte. Ende des Jahrhunderts aufgrund betrügerischer Machenschaften zusammengebrochen. Der Fall ging bis vor das Reichsgericht und die Berliner Handels-Gesellschaft (heute BHF-Bank) wurde in einem der ersten Prospekthaftungs-Prozesse der deutschen Börsengeschichte verurteilt, den Aktionären Schadenersatz zu leisten. 1952 wurde die 1947 in den westlichen Besatzungszonen in 10 Teilinstitute zerschlagene Deutsche Bank in drei Aktiengesellschaften zusammengefaßt: Norddeutsche Bank in Hamburg, Rheinisch Westfälische Bank AG in Düsseldorf und die Süddeutsche Bank AG in München und Frankfurt a.M. 1957 Zusammenschluß der drei Teilinstitute zur Deutschen Bank AG mit juristischem Sitz in Frankfurt a.M. | | Specials: | Mit den Portraits von David Hansemann und Georg von Siemens. | | Availability: | Eine Rarität unter den DM-Titeln.
