Die Bahn hatte Straßenbahn-Charakter, aber betrieben mit Dampf durch Öl und Gas. Die Bahn wurde durch die New York and Hudson River RR betrieben. Direktoren waren J. Pierpont Morgan, Chauncey M. Depew, Wiliam C. Whitney, Harry P. Whitney u.a. | | Specials: | Mit Steuerstempelmarken. Ausgestellt und rückseitig original signiert von Chauncey Mitchell Depew (1834-1928). Depew machte zunächst als Rechtsanwalt und Politiker Karriere. Gerade auf dem Weg, Botschafter der USA in Japan zu werden, wurde er von “Commodore” Vanderbilt als Chef-Justitiar aller seiner Eisenbahnen engagiert. Er brachte es später bis zum president der mächtigen New York Central Railroad. Von diesem Amt zog er sich 1899 zurück und wurde dann US-Senator für den Staat New York.
