Ende 1875 besaß die Gesellschaft 13 Schiffe. Ragusa gehörte ab 1809 als Département Raguse zu den Illyrischen Provinzen des napoleonischen Frankreichs. Nachdem die Österreicher die Stadt 1814 besetzt hatten, fiel sie durch Beschluß des Wiener Kongreßes an Österreich und wurde Teil des Kronlandes Dalmatien.
