Nach diversen Besitzerwechseln wurde die nunmehrige “Westdeutsche Sperrholzwerke Hugo Bresser” 1950 eingebracht in die neu gegründete “Westdeutsche Sperrholzwerke AG”. Hergestellt werden Schalungsplatten, Sperrholz, Türen und Zargen. 1956 Aufnahme der Produktion von Getalit-Kunststoffplatten. 1960 Umfirmierung in “Westag & Getalit AG”. Neben dem Hauptwerk in Rheda-Wiedenbrück Zweigwerke in Langenberg (Kreis Gütersloh) und Wadersloh (Kreis Beckum) sowie als Tochtergesellschaften die Sperrholz Koch GmbH in Coesfeld und die Holzhandlung C. Trenkner GmbH in Hannover. Eine exotische Beteiligung war die Soc. Industrielle Ivoirienne des Bois S.A. in Abidjan/Elfenbeinküste. In den drei Sparten Türen/Zargen, Laminate/Elemente und Sperrholz/Schalung ist die noch heute börsennotierte AG als Zulieferer der Bau-, Automobil- und Möbelindustrie inzwischen weltweit tätig und einer der bedeutendsten europäischen Hersteller. | | Availability: | G&D-Musterperforation.
