Die Fabrik mit 5 massiven Hallen direkt am Bahnhof Köthen besaß eine Lokomotivreparaturwerkstatt und fabrizierte Maschinen und Apparate für Papier- und Zellulosefabriken sowie Dampfkessel. In großem Umfang wurde auch Rohguss an andere Fabriken geliefert, wobei Stücke bis zum Einzelgewicht von 40 t gegossen werden konnten. Großaktionär: Jakob-Michael-Konzern. Börsennotiz Berlin und Freiverkehr Magdeburg. 1939 Änderung in Maschinenfabriken Wagner-Dörries AG, ab 1942 Dörries-Füllner Maschinenfabriken mit Sitz in Bad Warmbrunn. Hier wurden Waffen hergestellt u.a. die 15-cm-Schwere Feldhaubitze 18. Die Arbeitskräfte kamen aus dem Zwangsarbeitslager für Juden (Männerlager) in Zillerthal-Erdmannsdorf.
