Die Fabrik in Erfurt, Landgrafenstr. 1 produzierte mit um die Jahrhundertwende schon fast 2.000 Mitarbeitern zunächst Zeugstiefel, seit 1874 Lederstiefel und später rahmengenähte Herrenschuhwaren aller Art. Spezialität waren Dr. Lahmanns Gesundheitsstiefel. 1920 Übernahme der lokalen Konkurrenten Mella Schuhfabrik und Friedrich Metzler. 1929 Aufbau eines eigenen Vertriebs mit 46 Verkaufsstellen im ganzen Reich. Großaktionär war bei Kriegsende das Bankhaus Adolf Stürcke in Erfurt. 1952 enteignet und als VEB Schuhfabrik Paul Schäfer weitergeführt, 1990 als Lingel Schuhfabrik GmbH reprivatisiert und bald darauf abgewickelt. | | Specials: | Lochentwertet (RB). | | Availability: | Nur 2 Stück lagen im Reichsbankschatz.
