Edison in London die Firma “Edison Ore-Mailling Syndicate Ltd.” um seine Bergbaupatente weltweit (außer in USA und Kanada) wirtschaftlich zu nutzen. Am 22.4.1902 gründete Edison die “Dunderland Iron Ore Co. Ltd.” an der die “Edison Ore-Mailling Syndicate Ltd.” die Aktienmehrheit hielt. Als Edison und die neue Gesellschaft ihre Pläne für den Eisenerzabbau in Dunderland und dem Gebiet von Rana präsentierten, legten sie den Grundstein für das heute größte Industriegebiet in Norwegen. Ab 1908 kämpfte die Gesellschaft mit Finanzierungsproblemen, am 26.9.1913 wurde sie reorganisiert und in “New Dunderland Iron Ore Co.” umbenannt. 1947 wurden die Bergbauanlagen in Norwegen von der “AS Norsk Bergverk” übernommen, 1957 gingen sie auf die “AS Rana Gruber” über. | | Specials: | Originalsignaturen. | | Availability: | Einzelstück aus einem alten Bestand, bisher nur aus der Literatur bekannt. | | Condition: | EF-VF. | | Sold: | 65,00 EUR n |
