KGaA, 1867 umbenannt in “Schieferbau-AG Nuttlar”. Ab 1885 Verlagerung der Schiefergewinnung im Tagebau zum bergmännischen Tiefbau. 1912 Erwerb der Schiefergrube “Silbacher Bruch” (1940 stillgelegt), weiter in Betrieb genommen 1919 die Grube “Christine” in Willingen und 1942 die Grube “Eva” bei Bestwig. Seit 1962 zusätzlich Betonstein-Fertigung, nach wie vor in Betrieb waren die Schiefergruben “Ostwig” bei Nuttlar und “Christine” in Willingen. 1971 Umwandlung in die “Schieferbau Schmelzer & Co. KG”.
