Ende 1988 löste die Commerzbank den Unternehmensgründer Friedrich A. Meyer als Mehrheitsaktionär ab und verkaufte ein Jahr später an die britisch-französische SEMA-Group, damals der zweitgrößte Softwarehersteller Europas, dabei umbenannt in Sema Group Systems AG.
