Umbenannt 1939 wie oben und 1945 in NEWAG Niederösterreichische Elektrizitätswerke AG. Neben 6 Speicherkraftwerken und 30 Laufwasserkraftwerken besaß die NEWAG auch drei thermische Kraftwerke auf Gas- bzw. Kohlebasis in Korneuburg, Neusiedl und Hohe Wand.
