place: | Offenburg | | Picture: |  | | Number: | 333 | | Info: | Ursprünglich 1836 als "Runkelrübenzuckerfabrik zu Offenburg" gegründet, eine der ersten Zuckerfabriken in Baden. 1853 Verkauf der Fabrik an den Genfer Finanzier Ludwig Broß für 105.000 Gulden. Die neugegründete AG ließ Broß (der das Stück im Original unterschrieben hat) eine Anleihe etwa in Höhe des Kaufpreises aufnehmen. Das Unternehmen florierte jedoch nicht, seit 1863 lag die Fabrik still.
