Letzter Großaktionär war die Leipziger Riebeck-Brauerei. Nach 1946 VEB Königsee (Marke: Peter Edel-Bock). 1989/90 reprivatisiert, doch die Marktwirtschaft erwies sich als zu große Herausforderung: 1992 wurde die Privatbrauerei Königsee geschlossen.
