Die Gesellschaft ging hervor aus der Maschinenfabrik Englerth & Cünzer und erwarb 1906 die oHG Ratinger Eisengiesserei u. Maschinenfabrik Koch & Wellenstein. Durch Schwierigkeiten der Stahlwerke Becker AG, mit der die Gesellschaft in enger Fühlung stand, kam auch sie 1924 in finanzielle Bedrängnisse, die aber durch Kreditgewährung der Guyzeller-Bank in Zürich sowie einer durchgreifenden Sanierung galten als behoben.
