Seit 1954 mit Inbetriebnahme des Werk II 600 m stromabwärts vom Stammwerk auch Stromlieferungen an die Deutsche Bundesbahn. Weitere Heizkraftwerksblöcke wurden in den 70er und 80er Jahren in Betrieb genommen.
