Die Dauer der AG war zunächst auf 50 Jahre begrenzt. In Dresden wurde auch die Firma Quellmalz & Adler als Tochter betrieben, ferner in Leipzig eine Filiale unterhalten. Kurz nach der Gründung an der Berliner Börse eingeführt. Per ultimo 1881 stand der Kurs bei 107 Prozent.
