place: | Berlin | | Picture: |  | | Number: | 1023 | | Info: | Gründung 1906 zwecks Betrieb von Automobilfuhrwerken jeder Art, insbesondere von Automobildroschken und Luxusmobilen, ferner Übernahme von Automobil-Vertretungen, Handel mit Automobilen und Betrieb von Reparaturwerkstätten. 1926 umbenannt in Kandelhardt Automobil-AG. 1929 wurde der Wagenpark verkauft, der Fuhrbetrieb stillgelegt und die Börsennotiz in Berlin eingestellt. 1930 zog der Kandelhardt-Betrieb als einer der größten NSU-Händler in Deutschland auf sein neues Betriebsgelände zwischen Spreebogen und Landwehrkanal; als Teil der “Spreestadt Charlottenburg” siedelten sich dort ab 2002 erneut einige namhafte Automobilforscher und -entwickler an (u.a. gedas). In der Weltwirtschaftskrise konnten Steuern und Hypothekenzinsen für das alte Betriebsgrundstück SW 61, Gitschiner Str. 107 nicht mehr bezahlt werden, weshalb die Stadt Berlin 1933 die Zwangsversteigerung betrieb.
