Das Pferd als Verkehrsmittel wurde durch das Automobil abgelöst, so dass die Initiatoren, vornehmlich jüdische Kaufleute und Rechtsanwälte, das Unternehmen umstrukturieren mussten. 1918 wurde das Tattersall-Unternehmen vollständig aufgegeben, dafür wurde der Grundbesitz erweitert. Das Theater am Kurfürstendamm (eröffnet 1921), die Telos-Verkehrsgesellschaft, die Rumpelmeyer-Konditorei und das Theater "Die Komödie" zogen ein.
