Das Schiff wurde in England gebaut, in einer Liverpooler Werft. Es ist belegt, daß das Schiff auch Passagierdienste zwischen Lissabon und Porto verrichtete. | | Specials: | Ein faszinierendes Papier zur Dokumentation der Frühzeit der Dampfschifffahrt. Das allererste fahrtaugliche Dampfschiff wurde 1807 von dem amerikanischen Ingenieur Robert Fulton gebaut, die “Clermont”, 1814 das erste mit Dampf betriebene Kriegsschiff. Das erste Dampfschiff, das den Atlantischen Ozean durchkreuzte, war die “Savannah”, die fast allein mit Dampfkraft, 1819 von Savannah nach Liverpool fuhr. Die Aktie wurde gedruckt auf Büttenpapier mit Wasserzeichen. Sie wurde illustriert mit sehr dekorativer Darstellung des Dampfers, als Kupferstich ausgeführt.
